The Vaccines kampioen cancellen: Paradiso-show wéér verplaatst
Britse gitaarrockfans die hoopten nu eindelijk eens The Vaccines in de grote zaal van Paradiso te zien, hebben het zwaar. Eerder dit jaar werden optredens op Eurosonic en Lowlands al afgelast. Vervolgens werd een aanvankelijk op 17 oktober gepland concert al uitgesteld naar woensdag 14 december omdat zanger Justin Young aan zijn keel geopereerd moest worden. Dat is allemaal goed afgelopen, maar nu wordt de show wederom verplaatst, dit keer naar dinsdag 3 januari.
Geen medische problemen dit keer, maar de band wil een optreden in een speciale uitzending van het Engelse Top Of The Pops niet afslaan... TV-uitzendingen die voor de fans gaan? Jongens toch... The Vaccines belooft echter een en ander goed te maken op 3 januari, met enkele verrassingen zelfs, zo laat Young weten in een hieronder te lezen statement.
Kaartjes voor de show blijven nog steeds geldig of zijn, voor wie nog vertrouwen heeft, nog te koop voor de som van 15 euro. Justin Young over het nieuwe uitstel:

I just wanted to write you a note to personally apologise for yet another delay in our attempts to revisit you all. I think, aside from the band, the good people of Holland have suffered more heavily from our throat related problems than our fans anywhere else in the world. And for that we're truly sorry. Fear not though, for this time you will only have to wait a couple of weeks to see us.
All is well with my throat. In fact, we're very excited to be realising a dream having been offered a slot performing on the iconic television programme Top Of The Pops here in the UK, and all felt like this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that we could not turn down. I hope you will understand our decision to accept this offer and that you don't mind waiting until the 3rd of January to party with us. As an apology, we have organised a couple of surprises for the gig, which we hope will go some way towards helping you forgive our late arrival. See you all in January. I hope you can all still make it. We're very excited. Justin xxx
